Right of First Refusal

This is a parenting time provision. If it’s included, it means that if the on-duty parent can’t care for the child(ren) for some period of time, the off-duty parent has the opportunity to provide the child(ren) care. They have the right to refuse to provide care, but they have to be asked. If a First Right of Refusal provision is included, the parents need to agree on the length of time that triggers the right.
